The Resident comes to the end of its new season this May but when will the show get a Season 6? With many popular shows getting cancelled over the last few days back,

fans are now worried about the show’s future season.

The Fox show’s new season star Emily VanCamp dropped, which some might read as a caution sign. Now, Matt Czuchry-starring show’s future has been set by Fox.

‘The Resident’ has been renewed for Season 6 at Fox. The conclusion dropped to the wire, with both “9-1-1” and ‘The Resident’ without formal continuation statements on Monday morning when Fox confirmed their 2022-2023 broadcast season attack.

The network made its ahead-of-time pitch to the announcer later that same day.

Featuring Matt Czuchry as Dr. Conrad Hawkins, the medical drama, comes after the doctors and nurses at Chastain Memorial Hospital as they face personal and professional dares and fight for their patient’s health.

Alongside Czuchry, the ‘The Resident’ cast involves Bruce Greenwood playing the role of Dr. Randolph Bell,

Manish Dayal performing as Dr. Devon Pravesh, Malcolm-Jamal Warner playing the character of Dr. AJ Austin, Jane Leeves as Dr. Kit Voss, and Jessica Lucas as essaying Dr.

Billie Sutton, Anuja Joshi as Leela Devi and Miles Fowler playing the character as Trevor.

At the start of the now broadcasting Season 5, series usually Emily VanCamp, who performed the character of Conrad’s wife and the mother of his young child,

nurse Nicolette “Nic” Nevin, left “The Resident” after four seasons of playing the main role.

The death of the character came following series-long actor Shaunette Renée Wilson relinquishing her role as Dr. Mina Okafor.

In January 2018, the series was released by 20th Television. “The Resident” first premiered as a mid-season series.

With its continuation, it joins a lineup of Fox shows that will come back for the 2022-2023 season, also freshman drama “The Cleaning Lady” and animated comedies “Bob’s Burgers,” “Family Guy” and “The Simpsons.”

It is probably not amazing that the show got a Season 6. Above all, it is the network’s second-most-popular drama behind 9-1-1 between the 18 to 49 social class.

As this demo is mainly for advertisers, it may have secured the show a sixth season.

As per Deadline, although renovation negotiations went “down to the wire.” This clarifies why the show was misplaced from Fox’s 2022-2023 season preview at the beginning of the week.
