Former WWE Superstar The Rock (a.k.a Dwayne Johnson) is one of the most popular wrestlers to have ever stepped into the squared circle. Young Rock is an American television sitcom based on the life of the global icon.
Brought to life by Nahnatchka Khan and Jeff Chiang, Young Rock premiered on February 16 2021 on NBC. The first season revolved around three stages of The Rock’s early life, which beautifully presented the star as a 10-year-old in Hawaii, a college student in Pennsylvania, and a football player at the University of Miami.
The sitcom was revived for a second season in April 2021 after garnering a lot of positive feedback from both fans and reviewers. The final two episodes of the season, “You Gotta Get Down To Get Up” and “Let The People Decide,” aired back-to-back on May 24th, 2022, after the season debuted on March 15th.
The second season also gave viewers their first glimpse of The Rock as a rookie in the wrestling industry attempting to live up to the legacy of his forefathers.
The memorable moment when The Rock competed in his first WrestleMania encounter in Memphis, as well as the preparations for the momentous night, were shown in the finale.
The 12th episode followed a much older Dwayne Johnson as he faces presidential elections.
So, has Young Rock been given a third season order? If so, when did it get renewed?
Just two days before the second season’s finale, which aired on May 24th, the show was renewed for a third season. Following the announcement, several fans shared their delight on social media.
The third season will most likely give us a more in-depth look at The Rock as a wrestling legend, as well as the start of his Hollywood career.
As my dude @TheRock just announced on his Instagram, I can now proudly say what part I’m portaying on NBC’s “YOUNG ROCK,” premiering Feb 16th! I’ll be playing VINCE MCMAHON🤘— Adam Ray (@adamraycomedy) February 13, 2021

In Young Rock, who plays Vince McMahon?
Rock’s career as a wrestler cannot be properly depicted in cinema without the character of WWE Chairman Vince McMahon being played by someone. So, who can do respect this pivotal figure in the life of the Brahma Bull?
The WWE Chairman is played by Adam Ray in the Young Rock. For those of you who don’t know who he is, he is a multi-talented individual. He is an actor, comedian, and YouTuber from the United States, with over 20,000 subscribers and over eight million views on his videos.
