What is the story behind The Gray Man?
Court Gentry, codename Sierra Six, was a CIA officer who specialised in infiltration and assassination before joining the Gray Man. Gentry escapes from jail after an unnamed betrayal, and begins a new life as an assassin for hire, earning a fearsome reputation in the process. His old CIA colleagues, on the other hand, aren’t going to let him go. Gentry becomes the target of Lloyd Hansen, another of the CIA’s top intelligence officers and a man with even less scruples than Gentry, after obtaining some embarrassing material against the agency. The upshot is a bloody pursuit that spans multiple countries, with Gentry relying only on his wits, talent, and resourcefulness to elude Hansen, every bounty hunter and killer-for-hire on the continent, and the whole US global intelligence network.
