Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead in the Jawaharke town of Mansa district on 29th May, Sunday. The incident occurred a day after Punjab pulled out the security cover of Sidhu Moose Wala as a part of the Bhagwant Mann government’s activity to crack down on VIP culture.
The assault happened when Moose Wala and two of his companions were driving in a jeep to the town Jawahar Ke in Punjab.
Moose Wala’s SUV was showered with bullets and he was found drooped on his seat and bleeding vigorously. He was rushed to a hospital where doctors proclaimed him brought dead.
Punjab police said that the assault appeared to be because of a gang war. Police also said that a Canada-based criminal has claimed the responsibility for the attack that happened on Sidhu Mosse Wala.

AN-94 Russian attack rifle (Avtomat Nikonova model of 1994) was used to shoot and kill Sidhu Moose Wala. Additionally, the number plates of the vehicles used in the attack are fake. Moose Wala’s parents have refused to send his body for the post mortem. The artist’s hopeless mother has faulted the Punjab government for the hapless passing of her child.
Punjab Director General of Police VK Bhawra Sunday said Sidhu Moose Wala’s murder appeared to be the aftermath of an inter-gang rivalry. He added that 30 rounds of bullets were shot at the singer and no less than three weapons could have been used in the attack.
Sidhu Moose Wala had contested the current year’s Punjab assembly election on a Congress ticket from Mansa and was drafted by AAP contender Vijay Singla by a gigantic level of 63,000 votes. Vijay Singla was sacked by Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann over charges of corruption.
