Priscilla Presley Fires Back at Claims That Elvis Was 'Racist'

Priscilla Presley is setting the record straight when it comes to late husband Elvis Presley‘s relationship with the Black community.

As seen in the Elvis biopic starring Austin Butler, the King of Rock n’ Roll was depicted as being very affected by the civil rights movement and Martin Luther King Jr.‘s passing

and had a close relationship with Black musician B.B. King. However, he was subject to claims of being a racist.

In a new interview, Priscilla, 77, addressed the longstanding claims that Elvis had issues with people of color.

“Per the movie, [for] a long time it was stated that Elvis was a racist,” Priscilla said on Piers Morgan Uncensored.

Priscilla went on to note that Elvis had close friendship with Black musicians, including Fats Domino and Sammy Davis Jr.
